21 days to Heal Your hair: day 5: Smart snacking for healthy hair.

On day 4 we talked about having a good breakfast for optimal health and shiny hair. Today I want you to have a look at your snacking habits. If you currently don’t eat a snack in between meals, maybe it is time to reconsider this and make it a habit to include a healthy snack during the day. If you are hungry throughout the day, it might be an indication that you didn’t eat well at breakfast of lunch but if you do watch to eat balanced meals, well then when you are hungry, please eat something. Snacking keeps your metabolism running and it is also a smart way to include the necessary nutrients for your hair to keep it healthy and shiny.
Of course I am not talking about candy and cookies, I am talking about a conscious choice that will have an extra bonus for your hair.
One smart way to snack for healthy hair is to choose a piece of anti-oxidant rich fruit or a vegetables in combination with a handful of nuts. Especially walnuts are a smart choice here because they are chock full of healthy fat.
You can also choose to make a healthy and fresh smoothie and mix in some flaxoil and flaxseeds or add chia seed or any other nuts.
So relish that healthy snack and make your hair flourish.7
