21 days to Heal Your hair: day 15: 4 tips for natural, healthy hair.

Hello everyone!

Thank you for joining me on day 15 of  my free online program of “21 days to heal your hair”.

Today will we start the last phase of this program where during 7 days we will talk about how you can take the best care of your hair.

In this first part I would like you to think about what you are doing to your hair on a daily basis. I always advice people who have hair problems to go natural as often as possible to let their hair grow at its best. All treatments you undergo to style your hair, will in the end damage your hair, no matter how careful you are. So try to follow-up on 4 of my tips:

  • don’t heat style or heat dry it too often: let your hair dry naturally and let it hang naturally and if you don’t like it on a particular day: try putting it up in a nice bun or ponytail. Especially if you overheat your scalp, you can damage the hair follicles and this can lead to hair loss.
  • don’t colour your hair every week. Leave enough time in between. I try to keep about 2 months in between to let my hair recover. Also make sure you take extra care when you colour or highlight, since no matter how “natural” the treatment is, it can damage the structure of your hair.
  • Brushing with a caring, healing brush is a nice and gentle way to give your hair a bit more schwung and bounce. It is my favourite way to make sure my hair looks absolutely fabulous and it is especially nice to know that it is even healing my hair. I am absolutely crazy about the brushes that I have created myself under the brand Delphin and Emerence.
  • Finally: embrace the gift you got from mother nature. It makes me sad that so many women strive to look like someone they are not meant to be. Make the best of what you were given and take care of the type of hair you have. That way you will shine and sparkle and you will feel so much better in your skin.

See you again in one of my other posts…
