My name is Lies, author of this blog. I am an entrepreneur (founder of Delphin & Emerence), busy mom, hair lover and the author of the book “The complete guide to healthy hair. A 3-step programme to heal your hair.” Thank you for joining me on day 1 of “21 days to heal your hair”.

”In the first 7 segments of this 21 day-programme, I want to explain to you that your hair is telling you a lot about your health and your nutritional habits. A lot of hair and in general health problems come from a lack of proper nutrition. I found out that for example I wasn’t eating enough protein. 10 years ago I was running a busy health food restaurant and although I fed my own clients with all the necessary nutrients, leading a busy life I simply forgot to take time to eat myself. Protein was one thing that helped me grow healthy hair. So I started adding it to my diet on a daily basis: chosing tofu, fish, organic chicken, legumes, organic yoghurt, organic eggs and nuts to provide it.

Now take a look at your hair. How does your hair look? Is it brittle and dry? Do you loose more hair then normal when you brush or wash? Well, then try to find out if a lack of healthy protein might be the cause. If so, make sure you add it on a daily basis.
